Abu Dhabi University Forges Strategic MoUs with International Partners

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has forged three strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with international partners. These partnerships aim to provide students with access to internationally competitive programs that address the latest developments in various fields.

The MoUs were signed during the International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures 2023, which took place in Dubai on December 5th and 6th, 2023. The agreements seek to offer students and the wider community access to cutting-edge sustainable solutions, foster academic research, facilitate knowledge exchange, and promote innovation.

One of the MoUs established the Africa Policy Center in the UAE, which will serve as a dynamic platform for research, policy advocacy, and strategic engagement. This center will facilitate joint research initiatives involving ADU’s students and faculty, as well as African universities and relevant stakeholders.

ADU also signed MoUs with MAIRE S.p.A, an Italian technology and engineering group, the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Additionally, a collaboration was signed between the University of São Paulo and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Brazil.

The partnerships aim to provide students with valuable industry exposure and create impactful opportunities for professional growth. They also focus on promoting joint degree programs, exploring research projects, sharing academic information, facilitating faculty and student exchanges, participating in community events, and potentially co-supervising PhD students.

Through these collaborations, ADU and its partners will work together to establish and strengthen international partnerships in research and academics, enhancing the educational sector’s sustainability and global competitiveness.
