3 Dua For Fasting in Ramadan (Supplications)

This dua is recited at the time of breaking the fast, usually at sunset. It acknowledges that the act of fasting was undertaken solely for the sake of Allah.

Here are the three supplications:

First Supplication

Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman kathiran, faghfir li min dhunubi kathirin.

Second Supplication

Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min an uradda ‘an zikrika, wa min an ushra ‘an dhikrika, wa min an aghlaqa ‘an dhikrika.

Third Supplication

Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min an uradda ‘an zikrika, wa min an ushra ‘an dhikrika, wa min an aghlaqa ‘an dhikrika.

These supplications are a way to seek forgiveness and to express gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to fast.

Fasting during Ramadan is a significant act of worship in Islam, and it is a way to draw closer to Allah. It involves abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn to sunset. This act of self-denial is meant to help individuals develop self-control, discipline, and empathy for those who are less fortunate.

During Ramadan, Muslims are also encouraged to engage in charitable activities, such as giving to those in need and performing good deeds. It is a time for Muslims to reflect on their lives and to make changes for the better.

The month of Ramadan is a time of spiritual growth and renewal. It is a time for Muslims to focus on their faith and to strengthen their relationship with Allah. By fasting and performing other good deeds, Muslims can earn great rewards and blessings from Allah.

May Allah accept our fasting and supplications and forgive our sins.
